With its 3350 meters of height and 1250 km2 of surface, Mount Etna is the highest volcano in Europe as well as one of the most active volcanoes in the world. There are many places that we will visit during our tour, our first stop will be to the house covered by the lava.
At about 1923 meters above sea level, we reach the iconic Rifugio Sapienza, equipped with an excellent bar and a shopping area where it is possible to buy typical souvenirs and have a small refreshment. Not far from Rifugio Sapienza we find the Silvestri Craters, whose formation dates back to 1892.
The excursion continues (for anyone who wants to) by taking the cable car aboard a modern cable car wherein a few minutes we will reach the altitude of about 2700 meters where we will admire the famous central crater.
